Good morning! Here are the announcements for Wednesday, September 8, 2010. It is an E day.
Today is: National Date Nut Bread Day. On this day in history: in 1966 the TV series "Star Trek" premiered on NBC. And 1565 - a Spanish expedition established the first permanent European settlement in North America at present-day St. Augustine, FL. The animal of the day is the Greater Hedgehog Tenrec.
A Gatorade shake order will be submitted soon. Orders are being taken online at the Spirit Store (www.Reginaspiritstore.com) until September 10.
A college rep from St. Ambrose will be here today at 12:30 for a lunch visit. Anyone interested in learning more about St. Ambrose University should stop by the table during lunch.
Ultimate Frisbee at Happy Hollow Park tonight, 4:00-5:30. Bring cleats, work out clothes and water.

There is a Regina family looking for a responsible high school student interested in occasionally babysitting on the west side of Iowa City. We're located on the West side of Iowa City and are willing to pick you up if you don't drive. If interested check the bulletin board outside the office for more details.
Attention Junior High and high school wrestlers and anyone interested in wrestling this year: There will be a brief informational meeting after school today in Coach Carrell’s room. If you are in football or for some reason will be unable to attend the meeting, please see Coach Carrell as soon as possible to get the necessary information.
Distribution of the 2010 yearbooks will continue through Friday. Yearbooks will be distributed in the lobby from 7:45 to 8:10. If you pre-ordered a yearbook, you may pick yours up during these morning times. If you would like to purchase a copy, a limited number of books are available and will be sold on a first come first served basis for $65.00. Yearbooks will only be distributed during these times as not to disrupt the school day.
There will be a lunch meeting today for senior RTLs who can volunteer to help with the Thursday training meeting.
Math Club will meet tomorrow in Mr. Fawcett’s room. T-shirt design, competition dates, JETS and the Arctic Puffin are just a few of the items that will be discussed. See Mr. Fawcett for more details.
The Regina Dance Team is now taking orders for their fall clinic “Tribute to the Troops.” Order your shirt for just $12 to support our troops and the Regina Dance Team. Orders must be in by tomorrow. Stop in the office for an order form.
All softball players in 7th & 8th graded should pick up a fall softball clinic form in the office as soon as possible. The fielding clinic will be held on Sept 18 & 19. The hitting clinic will be on Oct 2 & 3.
